Many people think that the more shine their wood floors have the better, but this is not the case. To keep wood floors looking brand new regular vacuuming and mopping with a damp terry cloth mop with the proper solution is key. If your floors have a finish to them do not use an oil based cleaner. Over time that cleaner will harm your floors rather than help them keep their shine. Every thing you put on the floors needs to be removed over time because it causes a build up. If you are using a cleaner with an oil base the build up becomes harder to remove. Use a solution of water and a few drops of a mild pH balanced soap to clean the floors. You want to bring out the original shine not add a new shine that you will eventually have to strip and reseal.
Feng Shui in the bedroom is a very important part of our lives that we overlook. We spend about 8 hours a day, 56 hours a week, 240 hours a month, 2,920 hours a year sleeping. That amounts to about 1/3 of our lifetimes. Most of the time, for the non travelers, that sleeping time is spent in our very own beds. But have you ever thought of all the clutter you have crammed under there. That hidden clutter is a non verbal statement of our lives and is throwing our Feng Shui off. The Feng Shui rule for storing items under our beds is a definite no! Two reasons why this rule is important are proximity and duration. The first is the principle of proximity, which means the closer something is to you the stronger it’s effect will be in your life. The second is the principal of duration. Which means the longer you are exposed to a particular influence the stronger its affect will be. Some may say that their mattress is thick or you cannot see the clutter because it is neatly stored or covered by a bed skirt. In Feng Shui the symbolic energy of an object or image is just as important as whatever literal impact it may have. I wonder if that is why the bible is left in hotel night stands. Was Feng Shui in use without anyone even realizing it. hmmmm
With the price of vacuums being between $45 and $2500 we rarely think about the maintenance side of the vacuum We usually just worry about the suction and the bags being replaced. The common plug in and go is the biggest mistake we make with our vacuums. They require maintenance so that we do not have to keep replacing them every other year. Here are a few tips to lengthen the life of your vacuum. First unplug your vacuum before cleaning. If you have a bagless vacuum empty the canister after every use. If your vacuum requires a bag check the bag after every cleaning so that you know when the bag has reached the full line (which is not when the bag is at capacity but when the dirt in the bag is full to the line across the bag that says full.) You are not saving money by filling the whole bag. By filling the bag to the rim you are destroying your vacuum and it forces the motor to work harder than usual, then causing clogs. Clean the roll on the bottom of the vacuum and rid it of hair and debris. You may need a pair of scissors to cut all the hair and carpet that has wrapped itself around the roll. The more hair and debris that is wrapped around the roll the quicker the belt will break on the vacuum causing the nastiest rubber odor! You may need to completely remove the brush roll from the vacuum to clean it properly. After removing the brush roll clean out the air passages by wiping them off with a damp rag. To disinfect the vacuum spray a solution of water, tea tree oil and vinegar on the roll and let it dry before use. If you have a clog in the hose use a broom handle to gently push the clog through and out.

I just stumbled along a company that cleans out outdoor trash cans. How amazing. This is a job that probably gets done once a year by homeowners if that. The company Is called TX Clean Cans. They can be found on the web for pricing Every person needs to utilize this service. While looking over the site I noticed that monthly service for cleaning out 1 trash can and 1 recycling bin is only $15. After using this service or even cleaning you own trash can out get into the habit of bagging and tying a knot in all trash that is thrown in the can. This stops horrible odors and germs from spreading. www.txcleancans.com Austin Eco friendly maid service Round Rock Eco friendly maid service www.pennyspersonaltouch.com
