If you have ever hired a professional cleaning company and you were home while they serviced your home, were you surprised with how fast and efficient they were? The service probably used the 4 easy tips listed below to clean your home efficiently:
While dropping my son off to college recently I was suddenly hit with the fact that no one is going to be there to do his laundry, make him wash his sheets, or clean his room.
He has a roommate in his dorm room and I have absolutely no idea of how this other young man feels about cleanliness…but they both are about to find out.
I will admit that my son wasn’t a slob at all; however, I did have to nag about certain cleaning situations in his room. Let’s see if you too can empathize with the below nagging questions.
The cleaning aisle can become overwhelming with options very quickly. And some cleaning products can do more damage to the surfaces in your home, rather than good. From sponges, to mops, to air filters and disinfectants - there are about ten options for each item. Before you hit the cleaning aisle, let’s make an inventory list of what our home’s surfaces are and then let’s do a little research on what cleaning supplies we actually need.
In this article we will look at cost-effective ways to use the correct disinfectant, dusters, floor cleaners, glass cleaners, rags and sponges. After all, it's not only about finding the right cleaner for your home (although that is very important) but if I can save you money and possibly recommend healthy products as well - then I feel that I am giving you some helpful advice. I hope you think so too. Let's get started...
Do you like to host friends at your home for gatherings?
Do those gatherings end up with you being the Host, Chef, Bartender, and Maid?
I call those parties the Ghost Parties. The Host is usually a ghost that floats in and out of the kitchen to the company trying to cook, clean, and host her guests all at the same time.
Hosting a party should be fun filled with laughter, conversation, music and great food. With all of that of course comes tons of dirty dishes, breakable wine glasses, dirty pots and pans. I've attended many Austin Luxury Home Dinners where I forgot about the host because they were too busy hosting the food prior, and clean up after than entertaining the guests.
Check these 5 tips out on how to be the host with the most without getting ghost on your guests.
Dirty, clammy odors were not listed as the “in-style” smells for this summer. I don't recall seeing that being on the "hot list" on all of the designer style runways or in the latest fashion magazines. But somehow most of our closets are holding onto those strange, foul-smelling odors.
The Texas heat is here and I am sure you are pulling out the lighter clothes and shorter shorts that you haven’t worn since last summer. Most likely they don’t smell like they came straight out of the dryer (since they’ve been in an enclosed space), but they are not dirty. Check out these easy and affordable ways to keep your clothes smelling fresh in your closet. This way your clothes can stay fresh on and off your body.
School Is Out and Summer Is In!
For most families with children, we understand that summertime brings many extra expenses that the school year helps us avoid such as: summer camps, higher electric bills, grocery bills, utility bills, and more. Our homes that were once vacant from August to June, from 7 am to 3 pm, are now filled with teenagers sleeping in…and not only your children but their friends touching every surface in your home that they can. This is the time of year we really understand the patience of school teachers that watch over our children for 8 hours a day. However, they are watching over them in a confined space and now summertime freedom has children (and all that they come with) attacking every wall of our homes.
It shocks me when potential clients reach out to us for service and they just want a blind estimate over the phone based on square footage and a little information they can give, in their opinion, of the things that need to be cleaned. Price is most definitely a deciding factor; however, I think the company’s knowledge in what you need cared for should be an even higher deciding factor than price. Does the term “You get what you pay for” sound familiar?
